This follows a car accident on the Pacific Highway at Moorland.
Vehicles also need to slow down when emergency lights are flashing, the squad said.
"Our operators and our colleagues from all other emergency services attend these incidents as part of their role. We all hope to return home from responding to them."
Several Rural Fire Service brigades have been vocal about this issue in the past.
Just before 7am on Thursday, July 23, emergency services were called to the highway near Hannam Vale Road following reports a driver crashed and was trapped inside the vehicle.
Transport for NSW briefly closed one of the two northbound lanes while emergency services attended to the scene. The condition of the driver is unknown at this time.
Taree Rescue Squad was called to the accident but was quickly stood down.
