"The standard of football wasn't always fantastic and the game was a bit scrappy, but the girls were in there fighting for each other,'' Grass said.
"That's what got us home.''
Mid Coast scored three second half goals to secure the vital away win after the scores were locked at 0-0 at halftime. Jess James scored twice for Mid Coast with Layni Fens notching the other. This now gives Coast eight goals in two matches while this was the side's second successive win.
Grass said the longer the game went the better his team played.
"We probably should have scored another one or two goals. We created enough chances,'' he said.
Goal keeper Xanthe Parsons was outstanding for Coast.

"She pulled off some tremendous saves and her distribution was fantastic,'' Grass said.
Striker Courtney Anderson rolled her ankle in the first half. While she saw out the game, she is in some doubt for next Sunday's game against the second played Merewether United at Wayne Richards Park at Port Macquarie.
"Court won't be training this week but fingers crossed she'll be okay by the weekend,'' Grass said.
