Renovations at the club began in January and were mostly completed before it was forced to temporarily close due to the pandemic.
Now with the go ahead to resume activities, the club is buzzing more than ever.
Club manager Justin Hayes highlighted the importance of getting back to business, particularly for children.
"We're back up and running now as all our activities ceased for a period of time," Justin said.
"The kids are really excited about being back at the PCYC, getting a little sense of normality back, seeing their friends and doing all sorts of different activities."
The school holidays program has been a hit with children enjoying a variety of activities such as art, dance, fitness and games.
"It's for the kids that need something to do in the holidays or parents that need their kids to do something," Justin added.
As they enter the spacious and modern foyer, members and visitors must use hand sanitiser and check in with reception.
The important well-being and breakfast programs have resumed as well as all sports activities.
The Gymaroos have returned to training and spent the school holidays working on their skills.
There won't be any overseas trips this year but the team will hopefully jet off in 2021.
Head gymnastics coach Penny Schubert said new members to the Taree gymnastics group are always welcome.
"Being a part of the gymnastics community in Taree and in particular Gymaroos is a great way to stay fit, be healthy, have lots of fun and learn new skills," Penny said.
A new boxing room, complete with a full size ring, will open at the club next week.
"The boxers have been training outside and inside and they're looking forward to getting back in the gym," Justin said.
When school resumes next week, the club will begin a three-on-three basketball competition on Friday nights.
To get involved with any activity, call the club on 6551 0292 or check out their Facebook page.
