Just after 9.30am on Wednesday, July 8, the squad was called to Johns River following reports of a motor vehicle accident. A person was trapped in the vehicle but didn't need extrication from the vehicle so the squad was stood down.
The squad was later called to a car accident in Wingham just after 5.10pm. The squad sent two units to the site and provided lighting to paramedics while they treated the patient. The patient only required assistance from the car to an ambulance.
"The Taree Rescue Squad wants all of our wonderful community and visitors to the area to stay safe," the squad posted on Facebook.
With fundraising opportunities limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the squad recently held a fundraising drive at Taree Service Centre. By all reports the community donated generously to the cause.
