Kai Stanley won the A-grade final and his now taken the lead in the championship from his brother, Aden, who won the only round contested this year back in March.
Club competition had been suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Brock Monkley was the runner up with title holder Oscar Scanes third and Vincent Primel fourth. Aden Stanley was eliminated in the semi-finals.
The day attracted 85 competitors across all the grades. This included 35 in the super grommets (12 and under division).
Club secretary Kirby Stanley said conditions were excellent with an off shore wind in the morning and a three foot surf.
"We were really happy with number of competitors, especially because it was a cold morning,'' she said.
The next contest will be held on Sunday August 2.
