Thirty five teams will take part in this season. MV Netball president Janine Kennewell explained that this is on par with other years, despite the shortened competition and later start due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
The competition will run until Saturday September 26 when the grand finals will be decided. Manning Valley representative sides will then head to State championships to be held in Sydney during the October long weekend.
Manning Valley will also host a round of the regional championships on Sunday July 26. This will involve representative teams from Forster-Tuncurry to Woolgoolga.
Times photographer Scott Calvin was there to catch some of the action of the opening day of the new season.
