The guttering was in need of replacement and has been removed.
Prior to new guttering and downpipes being installed, the fascias and eaves were cleaned, sanded and repainted. Concrete paths were pressure cleaned and the doors were also painted.
This work was able to be carried out with NSW State Government grant money and donations from the community.
The hall has become a popular venue for many community groups and activities and is regularly booked. Anyone needing a booking should ring Peter on 0409 990 089.
The sub-branch holds its monthly meetings at the hall on the third Thursday of the month at 6pm with the first post COVID-19 meeting set down for July 16.
Sand replenishment group AGM
Arrangements are being made for the 11th annual general meeting of the Old Bar Beach Sand Replenishment Group to be held at Club Old Bar, 1 Belford Street, Old Bar, Sunday, August 30, commencing at 2.30pm.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, presently only 20 people are allowed in the conference room at the one time, but we are hopeful by August 30 maybe up to 40 or more may be the number allowed to attend. Put this date in your diary now.
Roadwork almost complete
Old Bar CBD roadwork appears almost complete, before the school holidays commenced.
The second stage from Cross Street to Sheppard Street is yet to receive a top coat of bitumen but it is sealed and open to through traffic.
New wider footpath has been laid from the bakery to the bottle shop.
