The beaches are also proving to be productive, in further positive news for anglers.
Chopper tailor are taking lures and bait, while good whiting have been caught near Diamond Head.
Bream have been caught from the southern end of Crowdy beach.
The best tailor up to 2kgs have been taken from the rocks at Diamond Head. Spun garfish and lures are the best bait.
In the river bream and flathead are still biting well while kingfish to 12kgs have been landed from the river wall near the gantry.
It'll be good weather for fishing this weekend, with fine, sunny days predicted.
Sixteen is the predicted top for Saturday rising to 18 on Sunday.
