MidCoast Council is urging the community to share their favourite places, local stories and help to identify how they want the region to be identified in the future.

This will help council shape its inaugural cultural plan.
"The cultural plan is a road map to identify what the Mid Coast currently has, where there are gaps, what the community would like to see in the future and how council intends to get there," council's director of liveable communities, Paul De Szell.
This wishing to comment on the cultural plan have only days to do so, with submissions closing on Tuesday, June 30 at 4.30pm.
There are two surveys on council's website, one shorter version that takes about five minutes to complete and a longer version that requires about 15 minutes, along with an interactive map to plot favourite locations, businesses, experiences and more.
While the survey submissions close on June 30, the interactive map will remain online and council wants as many people to contribute as possible.
