A 29-year-old Lakewood man was arrested in Wingham on Friday for shoplifting from a nearby supermarket.

Officers from Manning-Great Lakes Police District saw the man walking across train lines in Wingham at around 11:30am on June 12.
They stopped and spoke to the man and soon established he had been involved in two shoplifting incidents at Coles Wingham over the previous two days.

The man was arrested and charged with two instances of shoplifting, to the value of approximately $500, and breaching his bail.
He was refused bail.
