A man has been charged with a string of offences after leading police on a wild pursuit along the Pacific Highway on Friday, May 29.

At around 8:30pm, highway patrol officers from Manning-Great Lakes Police District spotted a silver Holden Commodore allegedly travelling at 170km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Pacific Highway at Nabiac.
Officers pursued the vehicle and attempted to pull it over, but the driver refused to stop.
The pursuit continued northbound along the Pacific Highway before the driver attempted to turn right onto Godfrey Hill Road, Koorainghat and lost control.
The vehicle came to a stop on the median strip and police arrested the 39-year-old driver.
He was breath tested at the scene and returned a positive result.
He then underwent a subsequent breath analysis at Taree Police Station and returned a reading in the special range category.

The man was charged with a range of offences, including police pursuit - speed dangerous, driving while disqualified, special range PCA, drive unregistered vehicle, use uninsured vehicle, use unauthorised plates, and goods in custody.
He was also charged with an outstanding warrant.
He was refused bail and was scheduled to appear in Taree Local Court on Saturday, May 30.
