Once numbers are established Manning Hockey Association will work towards starting the senior and junior competitions in July.
Association president Debbie Monck said it appears there'll be no significant loss to team numbers. Manning Hockey was set to start the 2020 season in March until the COVID-19 restrictions came into place.
Ms Monck said the association is now working towards getting its COVID-19 plan in place and ratified by Hockey NSW and MidCoast Council. She said once this is achieved clubs will be notified on what is required.
"When we get confirmation from council we'll be able to open the fields and get training dates out there to the clubs,'' Ms Monck added.

"We're looking at clubs starting to train in June with limited numbers. As restrictions start to ease we'll be able to get more numbers at training and hopefully be able to conduct more contact drills.
If all goes to plan the association will start competitions in early July, pending approval from the federal and state governments along with Hockey NSW.
Ms Monck confirmed grand finals are scheduled for Saturday September 26 - one week later than was planned in the original draw.
"I know some other winter sports plan to go into October, but we don't want to clash with summer sports,'' she explained.
"And with the holidays in October I think there'll be a lot of people who will want to travel.''
