Taking a photo of your bicycle and recording its serial number can greatly increase the chances of its return. The serial number is usually recorded on the underside of the crankshaft.
This follows a reported bicycle theft from a home on Head Street, Forster on Thursday, May 7.
It is a carbon fibre Merida Skultura Evo racing bicycle. It is considered very expensive and unique in appearance.
A photo of the bicycle was posted on the Manning Great Lakes Police District Facebook page.
There's also been numerous posts on social media in the past month in relation to bike thefts, particularly in Taree and Forster.
