The decision was made by director Gayle Cameron and her team due to the unknowable nature of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and the associated time restraints.
In an announcement on its Facebook page, it was stated the risks to a rehearsing cast and crew are just too great at the moment.
While disappointed about the delay, Gayle and her team are still very enthusiastic about the show and look forward to tackling it with renewed vigour in October/November 2021.
Those planning to audition are encouraged to continue honing their physical and vocal skills for when auditions come around next year.
