It started in Wuhan, China in December 2019. It was spread when someone was eating a bat and the virus spread to the rest of the world.
A few months later, our lives changed forever with now a pandemic in place and Australia in lockdown. There is no travelling, so our trip to America and Disneyland was cancelled. We have had to stay at home or the police would fine us $1000.
I spent the majority of my days playing LEGO, riding my bike or making origami for my sisters. The worst thing of all was not being able to see my friends at school. This meant no seeing any friends at all, what-so-ever.
At home, there was a lot of DIY going on. I made some tables for down at our fire pit, making cubby houses and my mum painted the front door yellow.
It was devastating to see what was unfolding right before my eyes.
There was one upside though; that children were not vulnerable, but we had to stay at home because we might have it and spread it, not knowing.
This is my anniversary of staying home for five weeks. Scott Morrison is trying to bring Australia out of lockdown gradually and this started to go world wide. Gladys Berejiklian said kids can go back Term 2 Week 3 so I'm happy.
