Other matters will continue to be listed at Forster Courthouse on Wednesdays.
Taree Courthouse stopped sitting in October 2018 while the new police station was being built.
A spokesperson for the Department of Communities and Justice Plans said were in place for Taree to begin sitting full time from May after the police station opened, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic it will only operate one day a week until further notice.
"The local and children's court have introduced innovative new measures to protect the safety and wellbeing of it staff and clients during the health crisis by minimising face-to-face contact.
"This means that unless you are instructed by your lawyer, police or the court, you do not need to attend the courthouse or registry."
Any questions about the Taree arrangements can be directed to the NSW Courts Service Centre via nswcsc@justice.nsw.gov.au or email local-court-taree@justice.nsw.gov.au
