Member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead, announced the club would receive a $99,787 grant from the Stronger Country Communities Fund on Wednesday, April 1.

"This project undertakes urgent upgrade requirements to the facilities at the Black Head Tennis Club," Mr Bromhead said.

"The first stage includes improvements to facilities including the supply and installation of two synthetic grass court sub-surfaces inclusive of remedial surface work to rectify water ponding with resulting mould growth.

"The project is inclusive of baseline and pile height remedy in compliance with Tennis Australia recommended minimum requirements.

"Net posts will be removed and re-sleeved.

"This project includes the disposal of the old synthetic grass and sand and re-setting of the net posts."

Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW, John Barilaro, said regional communities were set to benefit from more than 550 new projects, with $100 million being distributed across regional NSW.

So far more than 1000 projects have been funded through rounds one and two of the Stronger Country Communities Fund.

"Locals across regional NSW are seeing the benefits of rounds one and two of the fund, with projects making a big difference to everyday life, from new playgrounds loved by kids to light towers illuminating sporting fields," Mr Barilaro said.

"We are funding grassroots projects that make a real difference to each community, and we know how important it is to support our regional towns with new infrastructure and programs."

The $400 million Stronger Country Communities Fund is part of the NSW Government's $1.7 billion Regional Growth Fund, which is being invested in local programs and infrastructure that improve the lives of people living in regional NSW.
