Bream are appearing in large schools further up stream but this will depend on any fresh water flush coming down the river. The more fresh water, the closer the fish are to the mouth of the river.
Whiting have been falling to worm or yabby baits and poppers spun over the sand flats.
Luderick are to be caught on the inside of the river wall above the gantry on fresh yabbies at night.
Sinkers aren't required.
On the beaches, tailor and whiting have been bagged. The whiting are of a good size while most of the tailor are chopper size.
Outside fishing has picked up. Some Spanish mackerel and mackerel tuna have been landed.
Snapper are still on the bite in the north and south grounds while mahi mahi are being taken around the FAD and the wave rider.
