The Upper Lansdowne Players were to perform their 2020 plays in August this year but it is with sadness that they have made the decision to postpone their 2020 play season.

They feel it prudent to wait until the risks associated with the COVID-19 virus has passed.
The Players had two fantastic short plays lined up and are looking forward to casting, rehearsing and performing them when this uncertainty time passes.
Lansdowne students home-schooled
Most of the Lansdowne Public School students are now experiencing home schooling.
Instead of going to the school classroom to work, they are now spending time doing their work at home under the watchful eyes of their parents. The school is still open for children of parents who need to work.
Business as usual at post office and shop
The Lansdowne post office and shop will be remaining open as usual. They are an essential service. They have groceries, fresh milk and the bread is delivered daily. Not sure about toilet paper.
Easter fundraiser cancelled
The planned Easter fund raiser for the Lansdowne Fire Brigade has been cancelled. It is hoped that another fund raiser for the brigade can be held later in the year.
Still fishing but changes to weigh-ins
The Lansdowne fishing club are planning that their monthly fishing weekend outings can still go ahead, but if anyone wants to weigh in they can text or email Steven with the weights and a photos of the scales or arrange to have their scales to weigh in.
