Following a ban on events with more than 500 people, which came into effect today, Monday March 16, a meeting to discuss the proposed construction of a manufactured housing estate (MHE) at Tallwoods has been cancelled.

The meeting, organised by the Tallwoods Action Group and Hallidays Point Community Liaison and Progress Association, was scheduled to be held tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17 at the Black Head Surf Club.
"As a consequence of Prime Minister's announcement regarding public or social assembly and with concurrence of MidCoast Council, the meeting on has been cancelled," association president, Alan Tickle said.
"The local community will be communicating electronically to formulate arguments to submit to the Land and Environment Court."
