There are only three matches remaining in the Mid North Coast Premier League competition before the start of the semi-finals on Saturday March 21. However, only one round of the premier league has been played since the break for Christmas because of wet weather.
The season opened with the area gripped by drought and then successive rounds were lost as bushfires raged through the region. Mid North Coast Cricket Council David Burley told the Times in December there were concerns about the standard of wickets and grounds as the dry conditions continued.
However, the rains came after Christmas and matches have been washed out.
Both Campbell and Rees said their players now just want a game.
"Everyone's in the same boat,'' Campbell said.
"It has been frustrating, although we badly needed the rain.''
