The fundraising event for our own Lansdowne Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade is on tomorrow, Saturday evening February 29 at the Twilight Leap Year market.

We are open from 4pm.
The fire brigade members will be cooking up a storm, so mums and dads bring the family along and purchase your meal from the brigade. There will be cold drinks, tea, coffee and cakes on sale. There will be entertainment, children's activities, and stalls to check out. There will also be a raffle.
Do not forget ladies it is leap year and there will be a prize for the lady who proposes to their partner on the night.
Please come along and support our brigade. It will be a family fun night.
All monies raised on the night will be given to the Lansdowne Brigade.

Jesse completes defence force training
Lansdowne man, 22-year-old Jesse Newman McCann joined the Australian Defence Force last November. He has now completed his training at Kapooka and had his march out on February 14.
Jesse was named VIP and most outstanding soldier in his platoon.
He will now reside at Singleton army base for the next four months until he finishes his infantry training and will then find out where he will be posted.
Lansdowne Bowling and Recreation Club
The Lansdowne Bowling and Recreation Club will be the venue for a fundraiser event for the Lansdowne Rural Volunteer Fire Brigade on Thursday April 9.
There will be an Easter Raffle with 30 Seafood trays, 20 chicken trays, 20 meat trays, $200 of Easter eggs and a seven-piece dining set on offer with all proceeds from the raffle to go to the brigade. That a lot of prizes so go along, wins a prize have some fun and support our brigade. Raffle tickets go on sale at 5pm and will be drawn at 6.30pm.
