The state's primary industry has generated $15.2 billion in revenue over the 2018-2019 financial year, up two per cent on the previous year, official figures show
Revenue in wool increased by 19 per cent, horticulture went up by 12 per cent, forestry rose by 11 per cent and wine went up by six per cent, according to the Primary Industries Scorecard on Monday.
The scorecard shows the revenue, sales and exports of SA's key primary industry sectors.
SA Primary Industries minister Tim Whetstone said the growth was a testament to the innovation and skills of SA farmers.
"Our primary industries and agribusiness sector is the biggest contributor to the state's economy," Mr Whetstone said.
"While it's fantastic to see record levels of revenue overall, it's important to acknowledge the many farmers across South Australia who have been doing it tough with drought and natural disasters."
Despite the unfavourable seasonal conditions, the gross value of production increased by 13 per cent to $7.9 billion.
