Just before 8pm on Wednesday, February 19, a 16-year-old girl was jogging in Tinonee when she noticed a man following her north down Manchester Street.
The girl began to sprint home with the man sprinting after her. It was not until she was almost home that the man stopped following her.
The girl told her parents who reported the incident to police.
Officers began an investigation and as inquiries continue are appealing for anyone who may have information, or who may have been in the area at the time to come forward.
The man was described as being of caucasian appearance, about 180 centimetres tall, aged between 25 and 30 with short dark brown hair.
He was last seen wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and dark knee length shorts.
