According to the Bureau of Meteorology, partly cloudy skies and the chance of showers are forecast for the rest of Friday (February 14). There is a 50 per cent chance of a shower or two becoming less likely in the early afternoon. Light winds becoming southerly 20 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Temperatures are expected to reach a top of 27 degrees. Surf and swell conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, boating, and swimming in the following areas. Mostly sunny skies are expected for Saturday (February 15) with the chance of a thunderstorm rolling in by the late afternoon and evening. There is a medium chance of showers also in the late afternoon and evening with up to 4mm of rain predicted. Light winds and temperatures predicted to reach a top of 30 degrees with a low of 17 degrees. Surf and swell conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, boating, and swimming in the following areas. Sun protection recommended is from 9.10am to 4.50pm with the UV index predicted to reach 12 [extreme].
The chance of a thunderstorm and showers to continue into Sunday (February 16). Cloudy skies are predicted to bring a 60 per cent chance of 1 to 5mm of rain most likely in the morning. Light winds with temperatures expected to reach at top of 26 degrees with a low of 21 degrees. Sun protection is recommended from 9.10 am to 4.50pm with the UV index predicted to reach 12 [extreme].
