The club is holding open court sessions as part of Tennis Australia's Get Your Racquet On initiative.
The sporting body found keeping young adults aged between 25 and 45 in the sport is a challenge due to a lack of convenience, having no one to play with and not wanting to commit.
To give them a taste of the action, the open court sessions involve a warm up, tennis activities and socialising.
The first session at Black Head saw 15 inquisitive players take the court. There are plenty of sessions ahead on Sunday afternoons.
Those interested in hosting a sessions or taking part can contact Black Head Tennis Club president John Mead at johnmead2430@gmail.com.
The initiative was launched nationwide during the finals of the 2020 Australian Open.
