"Rain hail or shine, the fine art of rugby will be taught and enjoyed. What a great experience for the next generation of rugby kids,'' Lower Mid North Coast Junior Rugby president Aaron Dodds said.
This will be the second season of junior rugby played in this area and follows the success of the Come and Try Rugby promotions held throughout the zone during January where more than 100 children were involved.
The eight week program will run until April 3.
Mr Dodds said 80 players were involved in last year's junior competition.
"We're hoping to get more this year,'' he said.
The Lower North Coast men's and women's competitions will be underway from Saturday April 4.
