In light of the Lower North Coast Branch championships in Pacific Palms last weekend, we decided to look back at surf life saving carnivals held in the Manning in 1990.
These carnivals were full of colour and athletic ability both on the sand and in the water.
We have been delving into the Manning River Times photo archives and while every picture tells a story, sometimes the background to that story is lost.
