Taree resident Bruce Halpin recently contacted the Times about a unique phenomenon in the sky early on Friday morning (January 31).
"It was pretty early and I looked up to see a line facing south to north-east," Mr Halpin explained.
"There must have been 100 or more of what looked like stars jetting across the sky."
It turned out Mr Halpin wasn't the only person to see it and question what was happening.
The east coast of Australia witnessed the launch of the Starlink 3 satellite train.
The train was sent into orbit from Cape Canaveral in Florida, USA as the fourth round of SpaceX's ongoing series.
According to American media, the launch was delayed for several days due to bad weather.
From the mind of technology entrepreneur Elon Musk, SpaceX's goal is to create a high speed internet network across the world.
Mr Musk plans to launch about 40,000 satellites in preparation for the network. The latest launch means 240 are currently in orbit across the world.
Information such as price and Australian access to the service haven't been determined yet.
