The police district confirmed no arrests were made in the area in relation to anti-social behaviour.
Australia Day ceremonies and activities were held at all major centres across the Mid Coast area, including Taree, Forster, Wingham and Gloucester.
"Everyone was well behaved, they are to be congratulated by police for being so good," a police spokesperson said.
The same can't be said for behaviour on our State roads however, with NSW Police 'appalled' with the number of drivers caught drink driving or speeding.
Throughout Operation Safe Return, which ran from January 24 to 27, police conducted more than 190,000 random breath tests across the State and charged 316 people with drink driving while almost 5000 people were caught speeding.
Double demerits were enforced during the operation to target speeding, seat belt, mobile phone and motorcycle helmet offences.
