Mauve, purple or lilac is the dress code for Harrington Evening VIEW Club's International Women's Day celebrations on Tuesday, March 10.
Guest speakers at Narelle Campbell, who will talk about her work in the Antarctic, and Megan Guy from The Smith Family, which is supported by VIEW.
Narelle, as a station leader in the remote Australian Antarctic Territory, has led four over winter teams in some of the world's most isolated and hostile conditions, living and working in temperatures plummeting to below minus 40 degrees. She has worked alongside biologists on the Emperor Penguin project and contributed to the protection of a pristine and fragile wilderness.
Narelle, who now lives in Harrington, was one of four finalists in the 2015 NSW 'Australian of the Year'.
Megan Guy is the Taree program coordinator for The Smith Family. Her main goal is to ensure students have a positive experience while meeting an educational outcome as they partake in The Smith Family programs.
The VIEW club's "Brunch with a VIEW" will be held at Harrigans Irish Pub function centre at Harrington, on March 10, 9.30am for a 10am start. There will be raffles and lucky door prizes.
All women are welcome, not just VIEW club members. Bookings are limited, contact Anne Marie Rose on 0408 791 661 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
