The choices are:
- Manning Hospital
- Manning Rural Referral Hospital
- Manning Base Hospital
Formerly known as Manning Base Hospital, the name was changed over a decade ago to the current Manning Rural Referral Hospital.
The change was made to reflect the hospital's role in providing specialised care to patients from across the region. The type and level of services offered at the hospital were maintained after the re-naming, and Manning Rural Referral Hospital has continued to provide specialised services and patient care.
Further service improvements have been delivered, including the development of a new cancer care centre, and enhancements to renal dialysis, imaging, emergency, and obstetrics and gynaecology services.
Chief Executive of HNELHD, Michael DiRienzo, says the district is giving all community members the opportunity to participate in the naming process.
"Feedback from the region's representatives is that the local community would like to be involved in determining the name of the hospital," Mr DiRienzo said.
"We encourage everyone to complete the survey, and let us know which if the three options they would prefer."
Hard copies are also available at the hospital reception.
The survey closes at 5pm on Friday, February 28.
