This week's Our History, Our Memories gallery looks back at photos taken around Taree in 1970 and 1971.
Relive what the Manning River foreshore, Taree Golf Club, Manning Hospital (formerly known as Manning River District Hospital and Manning Base Hospital), Taree Court House, The Poplars and downtown Victoria Street looked like all those years ago.
Take note of the houses, bridges and shops, some of which were being built at the time the photos were taken.
The former Taree pool site is sure to bring back some memories. Nowadays, the site is known as Harry Bennett Park.
Do you recognise a face, a venue, an occasion? Feedback and shared memories are most welcome.
Visit the Manning River Times website at 6pm every Wednesday to view the latest gallery in the series.
