In 2019, parents cashed in 8418 'Active Kids' vouchers with the Y NSW, representing almost $900,000 worth of free sport, swimming lessons and physical activity for young people aged four to 19.
New $100 vouchers are available now and the Y NSW is encouraging parents to make the most of this NSW Government initiative.
"There are no strings attached so we encourage all parents of school-aged children to make the mkost of this opportunity and spend your voucher on one of the Y's popular programs," Y CEO, Susannah Le Bron said.
Active Kids vouchers are redeemable for children who are enrolled in school, with each child eligible for two vouchers per calendar year worth $100 each. Both vouchers expire on December 31, 2020.
Last year swimming was the most popular activity at the Y NSW funded with the help of Active Kids vouchers, followed by gymnastics and sports competition.
Y programs are run at Manning (Taree) and Great Lakes (Forster) aquatic leisure centres.
