A 'plug-in' event that took advantage of the still-standing marquee on Sunday, January 12 after Saturday's TasteFest was a free breakfast/brunch for volunteers and fire-affected people.
TasteFest organiser, Phil Grisold said 150 people were fed a Lebanese/Middle Eastern brunch by volunteer organisation One Hand One Heart.
The Sydney based charity came up the coast specifically to hold the brunch, which was well appreciated by those who attended.
Phil Grisold said it provided an opportunity for fire affected communities to talk to people from other affected communities, something they hadn't done up until now.
"Bobin got to talk to Caparra, Wherrol Flat got to talk to Rainbow Flat," Phil said, adding that some people had commented it was a nice relief to 'get out' of the devastated areas and have some social down time.
