Our Prime Minister must not simply remain a lobbyist for his corporate backers. While as Immigration Minister, he used to refuse to discuss "on-water" issues, now he refuses to explore our "no-water" issues.
If he heeded the calls to resign, next up may be Peter Dutton. On climate change action, Mr Dutton is little better, famous for his boom-mike quip to Mr Morrison, "time doesn't mean anything when you're about to have water lapping at your door".
Send out the clowns.
Our nation needs to get serious, very serious, we are under existential threat. We need to approach this on a footing as if at war-time.
I call upon the government to establish a bi-partisan summit informed by scientists to develop evidence-based long-term responses to the drivers of this environmental crisis.
