The Blue Cross Church will hold a Christmas eve family service at 6pm on December 24 while the Christmas Day service commences at 9am. A service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima, Old Bar at 9am on Christmas Day.
In the lead-up, St John's is holding a mini market and carols this Sunday, December 15.
Starting at 4.30pm, there is a mini-market and sausage sizzle, followed at 6.30pm by the service of lessons and carols. This is a traditional service that combines a range of carols with scripture readings, "a lovely way to herald in the season," says Father Peter Tinney.
The church is holding the 'Blue Cross Festival of Christmas Trees' for second year running.
"This event is run in many places throughout Australia and around the world, providing a wonderful Christmas display, so we are hoping to encourage as many people as possible to enter a tree and to visit," Father Tinney said.
For a small entry fee Christmas trees are decorated by groups, businesses, or individuals.
The tree are on display to the public daily until Sunday, December 15, from 10am to 3pm.
