Festive events aimed at bringing the community together are being held across the Manning and Great Lakes in the lead-up to Christmas.

The Wingham Christmas Street Carnival is on at Central Park and Bent Street from 5pm to 9.30pm on Thursday, December 12, including entertainment and amusement rides, a parade by RFS volunteers at 6pm, a business and community group tug-o-war, and a visit by Santa at 8pm.
Tinonee Soccer Club will host Tinonee's Community Carols at the Bob Collier Oval from 5pm to 9pm on Friday, December 13, and includes entertainment students from Earth Angels Preschool, Tinonee School Choir, Taree Community Concert Band, Taree Choral Society Choir and a visit by Santa at 7.45pm.
Friday December 13, Carols in the Courtyard, 6.30pm at Taree Presbyterian Church, including a sausage sizzle, carol singing, a vibrant message from Grant Abbott, and performances by the Manning Valley Concert Band and Manning Valley Christian Choir.
Saturday December 14 is Bulahdelah Carols in the Park, from 5pm to 8.30pm at Wade Park, including community carol singing with some musical items and sausage sizzle.
Saturday December 14 is Carols in the Park from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Coopernook Park, Coopernook.
Sunday December 15 is the Black Head Carols in the Park, from 4pm to 9pm at Wylie Breckenridge Park, Hallidays Point, with carols, musical entertainment and a barbecue.
Monday December 16 will see the 45th anniversary Carols by Candlelight at Tuncurry, 6pm to 9pm at John Wright Park, with performances by the Great Lakes Concert Band, and guest appearance by Santa.
Thursday December 19 is Carols in the Park at Taree, from 6pm to 9pm at Fotheringham Park (food from 5pm), with guests Shannon Noll, country music star Travis Collins, Andy and Deb Saunders, and the NSW State of Origin Team. Entertainment by local schools, homegrown talent, PCYC Gymaroos and Cheer Squads.
Sunday December 22 sees the Carols and Christmas family fun event from 3pm to 8pm at the Forster Tuncurry Church of Christ.
Sunday December 22 is Carols at Harrington, from 3pm to 10pm, at John Oxley Reserve, Harrington.
