Despite drought and bushfires dominating our region, the promise of Christmas, and its message of hope, joy and peace, gives a sense of expectation. Christmas is an essential and consistent marker in our lives, the forerunner to a year that promises great potential.
In the spirit of Christmas, Taree Presbyterian Church extends an invitation to the community to join its annual 'Carols in the Courtyard' on Friday evening, December 13 at 6.30pm.
In addition to a free sausage sizzle, Christmas cake, carol singing and a vibrant message from Grant Abbott, Taree's energetic MACE teacher, the Manning Valley Concert Band will lead in enthusiastic singing, with the Manning Valley Christian Choir presenting the Christmas story in beautiful choral arrangements.
"Everyone is encourage to think beyond the trimmings of Christmas to the heart of Christmas itself- Jesus Christ. In Him is eternal hope and security in the midst of an unpredictable world," Ruth Crossman said.
