Rural Fire Service public liaison representative Stuart Robb will address the association meeting on December 11 from 6pm at Black Head Surf Life Saving Club.
Mr Robb will educate the community about fire safety, protection, warnings and the need for a bush fire emergency plan.
Association spokesperson Alan Tickle said the meeting would also involve discussion about local issues in the wake of the recent bush fires that impacted the community.

He said the meeting would also seek to "identify areas where we can as a community agitate while the topic is hot ... and how we can develop an emergency plan that is known, refreshed and communicated regularly to our local community when fire risks are high."
"It is CLAPA's hope that a community-led plan might evolve in conjunction with our local bush fire brigade and Rural Fire Service that recognises and lists risk issues, including members of the community with health or mobility issues, and how those collective risks can be managed by us as a community in the event of future potentially catastrophic fire emergencies.
"Other factors such as vehicular access and vegetation management that will need action from local and State government are also likely to be listed as subjects for further discussion as risk management issues."
Mr Tickle said the meeting would also focus on the needs of the rural fire service and the various roles in the brigade that require volunteer support.
