UNITED outclassed Wingham at Chatham Park in the round seven McDonalds Mid North Coast Premier League cricket round seven clash.
Batting first Wingham never really got going and were dismissed for 134 which was below par.
Ben Cole with 38 and Ryan Morris with 32 both made starts but Wingham needed one of them to go on with it to post a competitive total.
Sam Whitbread took 4/20 off 7.3 overs for United.
The home side then chased down the small total only losing four wickets in 32.1 overs. Tom Burley made light work of the total playing a lone hand to finish on 72 not out.
Kempsey club Rovers continued their strong start to the season with a 33 run win over Port City Magpies. Batting first Rovers compiled a very respectable 7/213 from only 36 overs. Mitch Korn 81 and Jarrod Prosper 51 hit the Magpies bowlers to all parts of the ground to set up an imposing total in the rain reduced match Brendan Badenoch and Zac Jones were the pick of the bowlers with three and two wickets respectively.
Magpies then had too many batsmen get starts but not go on with it as they were bowled out for 180 in 34 overs. Zac Jones completed a great allround performance to hit 53, but had little support as wickets fell regularly around him
The match between Wauchope and Pirates at Oxley Oval was called off due to wet weather after only 18.1 overs were bowled. Wauchope were 3/ 69 at the time with North Coast keeper Darren Bourke looking in good touch in making 30 not out.
Next weekend sees the start of the 20/20 rounds with plenty of exciting cricket expected,.
