Organised by Taree parkrun's Margie Lewis, the runners will be split into two teams and will run the distance from Broken Hill to Sydney between November 22 and December 10.
This is part of a challenge organised by the Run Against Violence Group and has teams from across Australia as well as internationally.
"On Friday November 29 our two teams have decided to run in the evening and call it 'Reclaim the Night' to promote awareness and safety for people and especially women in the community,'' Margie said.
The event is open to the community and will be held along the route used for the Taree parkrun, starting and finishing in Endeavour Place from 7.30. Margie said starters can run or walk the course at the own pace.
"We'd love to see a great turnout for the night,'' Margie said.

This is the second time Margie has been involved in the Run Against Violence. In 2017 she was part of a team of 30, inspired by Kirrily Dear, who ran from Broken Hill to Sydney, a distance of 1300km in 19 days to raise awareness of domestic violence.
Marg had earlier met Kirrily at the Dubbo Stampede, where she was the guest speaker.
Meanwhile, there was no parkrun in Taree last Saturday for only the second time since the event started in May 2015.
Organisers cancelled the run early on Saturday morning due to poor air quality caused by bushfires.
This was the first time the run wasn't held since Easter Saturday 2016 when it was called off due to concerns at congestion at Endeavour Place due to the Easter Powerboat Classic. However, Taree parkrun and the Manning Aquatic Powerboat club officials have met since and worked out a compromise, with the run going ahead on an slightly amended course.
Organisers hope the Taree event will be held at usual this Saturday from 8am.
