Its A Celebration of Christmas concert will be held on Sunday, December 8 at the Manning Entertainment Centre at 2pm and all profits will be donated to the Rotary Bushfire Appeal.
A rousing and lively concert, the program features some wonderful arrangements of many festive favourites including: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, The Christmas Song, Sleigh Ride and I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas. There may even be a few pieces that you can sing along with.
Special guest vocalists include George Hoad, Mick Standen, Jodi Cooper, Paul Eade and Amanda Lees and three musicians from the Newcastle Army Band are coming to perform as well.
As a special musical tribute to the fire fighters, Mick Standen will perform Never Walk Alone.
George Hoad will perform White Christmas.
The band is aware that many people in the community are going through a really hard time and as musicians, feel the best thing they can do is let them forget for maybe just a little while and play them some beautiful music.
