Jake will contest the First National Real Estate Leadership Award on December 11 following Mrs Ballard's nomination. The award is one of seven categories, with category winners also contesting for the title of 2020 NSW/ACT Young Achiever of the Year. Finalists will be presented and winners announced next year at an Awards Gala Presentation Dinner on Friday, March 20.
Mrs Ballard contends Jake "displays a myriad of leadership qualities within his day-to-day life."
The 23-year-old is the owner of Jake Davey Studios and last month released the single, 'On Your Mind', recently sharing with the Manning River Times that he's living a "pinch me" life.
Mrs Ballard is a champion of the live music sector and says Jake's "relentless courage is on show when taking to stages between Sydney and Byron Bay to showcase his original music, playing to thousands of people every year."
"He encourages artists of all levels and styles to set goals and guides them utilising his broad skill set and knowledge of the music industry," Mrs Ballard said.
"It's hard to put into words how wide a reach Jake's influence is over members of our community. Jake cherishes his ability to be relatable to today's youth and inspire them to achieve success in a small town.
"Jake Davey Studios has been and continues to be highly beneficial to all age groups in providing them with access to a fully functioning studio for audio and visual productions within the Manning Valley ... he continues to encourage today's youth and inspire them to strive for success and breakdown any barriers that they may come up against."
"Jake's journey began at the age of 14 when he first started performing in front of live crowds in local cafes and high school productions. From there, Jake delved into exploring audio recording of his own performances which allowed him to listen back and critique his technique. Fast forward several years and Jake now owns and operates a professional recording studio."
Mrs Ballard says "if Jake could have one lasting legacy it would be to never stop fuelling the fire that is creative passion within the music industry."
