In the words of Old Bar resident Greg Love, "it's all a bit un-tickety-boo."
Thanks to his swimming pool and a fire pump, Greg's home was spared by a bushfire that tore through nearby forest last week.
"Without that pool I have no house," Greg said.
Two sheds suffered severe fire damage while a friend's car, and all the contents inside, was destroyed.
Greg used lots of water to stop the fire from advancing closer to his home.
But once the sheds were well alight and with a sudden wind change, Greg was out of there.
He jumped in a car with passersby.
Able to revert to his quirky sense of humour through an otherwise tragic circumstance, Greg said he's open for offers for his now destroyed tractor and trailer.
"It's a renovators dream," he smiled.
He thanked firefighters for their assistance.
