With Zandria Polson re-elected as president of the Oxley Island Hall Committee and ably supported by secretary Beverly Daniels and treasurer Phillip Thornton, the care and maintenance of the hall and annex is in good hands for the coming year.

A Christmas dance is planned for Friday, November 22 with Santa in attendance accompanied by Mrs Claus provided her broken toes have healed after supposedly being being stomped on by a reindeer recently.
A decorated Christmas tree will adorn the hall and committee member Dennis Watt will be keeping the chocolate wheel in operation.
Barney Carle will provide excellent music for old time and novelty dancing featuring lucky spots and a Monte Carlo.
A delicious supper will be provided. Entry is $10 per person and $25 per family. Bookings should be made early with Zandria on 6553 2437 or Angela on 6553 2514.
A feature of the coming year will be a repainting of the award winning heritage listed Union Church annex which was restored by a team led by Clem Thomas and Warwick Murray in 2003.
