Premier flautist Jane Rutter and musical theatre star Peter Cousens will share their expertise and wisdom in two separate masterclasses specially designed for budding musicians and stage performers.
Jane's masterclass allows students to "check in" with Jane about their musical work.
As Jane is rarely available for one-off lessons, the class provides an opportunity to have her assist students.
Students need not be flute students. Any instrument or voice will benefit from this class.
In Peter's masterclass he will share his passion and skill in bringing a song to life.
The class is tailored to suit students of singing, acting and musical theatre plus students of HSC performance.
This is a wonderful opportunity for local young musicians, singers and actors to interact with highly experienced and beloved artists, without having to head for the big city to do so.
The masterclasses have strictly limited numbers, and registration is essential.
They commence at 2.30pm and run for approximately two hours each.
The cost is $50 or free if you purchase a ticket to their performance of "Matinee Idols and Evening Stars" on Sunday November 10 at 2pm.
Please contact Helen Knight on 6592 5466 to register for this unique opportunity.
Stacey Lee's Centre Stage new show
They're back! Those incredibly talented kids from Stacey Lee's Centre Stage are returning to the Manning Entertainment Centre for a wonderful end of year performance in another original musical production called "Perfectly Imperfect".
The production is loosely based on the ever popular Mary Poppins which was set the Edwardian Era, specifically in 1910.
This production sees a young, magical woman arrive in London 2019 to help the Law family who is drifting apart due to the common issues facing many families in that day and age.
Not enough time to spend together, the need for money and status and homes and social media to appear to be nothing short of "perfect".
Will the Law Family find their way back to one another?
What other characters star in the story and did someone say the magic is coming directly from Hogwarts!?!?
