The group is calling for the LNP governments, both State and Federal to dump the flawed and failed policies they have implemented since 2014.
It also calls for urgent legislation to enshrine the safety of women and children at risk of harm, even death, at the hands of violent, controlling males.
The event on November 1 will include the laying of flowers to acknowledge and honour the life of every woman murdered by a male in 2019, speeches, and musical items.
Anyone wishing to speak to the cause is welcome to contribute.
The group's focus is solely on women and children as Leonie McGuire (Edna Ryan award recipient,2018) explained, they are statistically the people most suffering from domestic violence and its traumatic and often fatal consequences.
We welcome your attendance. Women are invited to wear black and to bring a posie of flowers.
