DON'T forget to swing by the show rings during the Taree Show with a great range of show horses competing in dressage, show jumping and top breeds events.
The beef and dairy cattle will also be on display in the cattle judging arenas Friday and Saturday with junior handlers also competing.
Show secretary Dayna Wilson said the agricultural exhibits were the heart of the show with people travelling to show their animals.
"It is really wonderful to have so much support from local breeders that come back year after year to show off their stock and the hard work to produce such amazing animals," she said.
"It's a great opportunity for people to come and appreciate the work that goes into raising cattle to show and learn about life with animals and on the land.
"And anyone watching horses can see how much energy goes into training an animal with so much power," Dayna reminded showgoers to be water-wise with restrictions now in place across the region.
"We are well aware, from some of our usual exhibitors, that they will not be able to bring as many exhibits and some none at all with the produce in our agriculture hall down due to the drought," she said, adding the annual support the show received every year was greatly appreciated by the society.
