SAVE some time to enjoy the rides and entertainment at the Taree Show with a big weekend of fun set to hit Taree. Show secretary Dayna Wilson said there would be a number of new rides for local thrill-seekers to try in sideshow alley this year for the adventurous.

"There will also be the old favourites returning including the dodgem cars and a 'fire safety bus' which will be teaching showgoers about safety awareness - especially in this time of drought. We will also have a spectacular FMX motorcross bike display on Saturday night before we light up the sky with fireworks," she said, adding the demolition derby would be a crowd pleaser on Sunday afternoon.
Dayna said there had been an overwhelming number of community members involved in the arts and craft exhibits this year. "We have so many categories there is something to suit everyone from school age right through to the elderly and nursing home sections and there will be a special section in the 'school produce competition' with winners to go on to Sydney Royal Easter Show," she said.
